Elisa López was born in Havana, Cuba. She has degrees in Estudios Socioculturales from University of Havana. From there she was part of the curatorial team of Havana galleries specializing in contemporary Cuban art. As a gallery specialist, she developed multiple exhibitions of different genres of art, also contributing texts to some art magazines.
