These series are inspired by a Guarani legend about the Yerba Mate. Legend has it that one day, the Goddesses of the Moon (Yasi) and the Cloud (Arai) came down to Earth to visit it. They were peacefully enjoying their walk when they encountered a jaguareté (a jaguar) that was about to attack them. A hunter man saved them and invited them to rest that night in his family home. The next morning, as a reward for his help and hospitality, the Goddesses gave him a new plant, from which he could prepare a “drink of friendship.” It was the “yerba mate tree.”
