The work is constructed from braided men's and women's handkerchiefs, transforming everyday textiles into a powerful metaphor for emotional experience. The artist understands tears as a form of complaint—a necessary expression of pain, but one that cannot remain passive. As the braided fabric gradually becomes a rope, the work suggests a shift from lamentation to action. Rather than dwelling in suffering, it calls for transformation, resilience, and the strength to move forward. The rope embodies both tension and possibility, reminding us that behind every experience of grief lies the potential for renewal and personal growth.
