This piece was created by KCHO specifically for the exhibition we presented at the New World Museum in Houston. It is one of the earliest works in his Fishermen’s Huts series. The first hut was conceived as an immersive structure that visitors could walk through, with marlin spears piercing through its walls. For the Houston exhibition, KCHO created a less aggressive variation, replacing the spears with oars while maintaining the central idea of the fisherman’s hut as a space of passage and reflection.
