This series brings together a series of paintings that explore the uncertain terrain of memory, displacement, and belonging. Having left Cuba years ago and lived subsequently in Spain and the United States, the artist no longer reconstructs specific places, but rather landscapes assembled from fragments of experience. Roads, abandoned structures, empty lots, and solitary objects emerge as non-places—spaces that resist precise geographic identification while remaining emotionally familiar. Suspended between recollection and invention, these works evoke the condition of living between cultures, where memory ceases to belong to one location and instead becomes a shifting psychological landscape.
