Pan American Art Projects is pleased to invite you to the closing celebration of It Wasn’t a Dream, It Was a Flood, a solo exhibition by Miami-based artist Chantae Elaine Wright, curated by Claudia Taboada. The event will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at our Little River gallery located at 274 NE 67th Street, Miami, FL 33138, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
To mark the conclusion of this powerful exhibition, we will host an evening of cocktails and conversation, accompanied by the presentation of the exhibition catalogue. This gathering will offer collectors, art lovers, and the community another opportunity to engage with Wright’s evocative body of work, which examines memory, trauma, and resilience through abstract visual storytelling.
Taking its title from Frank Stanford’s poetic film, It Wasn’t a Dream, It Was a Flood, Chantae presents mixed-media works that challenge linear narratives and explore identity, history, and transformation through vibrant, layered compositions. Wright’s work resonates deeply in today’s cultural climate, offering a raw and emotional lens through which to reflect on both personal and collective experiences.
Join us in celebrating the artist and this deeply affecting exhibition with an evening of art, music, and dialogue.
