Resumen
Vero Murphy is a Miami-based multidisciplinary artist from Argentina.  Her practice incorporates painting, printmaking, photography, and installation.

"The selection of materials and its inherent symbolism play a central role; they often are the foundation of the work.. My work explores human geography and the cultural landscapes of places I’ve lived in or visited—experiences that have shaped my identity. Born in a small farming village in Argentina, where life centered on harvests and nature, I developed a deep connection to the land. Moving across countries has made me aware of how territory influences its people, shaping rituals and traditions into unique cultures. My work creates reflective spaces, where humanity coexist beyond borders, encouraging cultural dialogue and reconnecting with nature.

Since 2017, I have been developing a series named “Cultural Frictions”, and abstract language using two natural materials —yerba mate tea and gold —due to their symbolic significance. By exploring both the physical and symbolic aspects of these materials, I create meeting spaces that embrace the concept of hybrid cultures and promote a dialogical vision for the present and future."
