In recent years, I have focused on reflecting on the misinformation that has become normalized in contemporary society. This phenomenon affects not only human relationships but also our connection with nature, and what is promoted as “progress” by the sellers of illusions, often results in destruction. For one, alternative green technologies are totally BS, as they might not emit toxic chemicals while in use, but their Manufacture, Maintenance, and Disposal do- on an ever-growing scale. These days, oil companies also produce solar cells. And the list of ruses goes on.

These sellers of illusions, the power brokers and those who profit from their lies, get rich from our desperation, ignorance, and squabbling. We subsidize them now, furnishing them with cash borrowed from an imaginary future.

While so many of us struggle to get by barely, while we fight with each other over who is right, who is wrong, and who even has the prerogative to a voice or an opinion, the forces that shape our reality, our very planet, and the air we breathe, whether we are watching or not, will continue their course of deterioration, taking our lives into the furnaces of no desire in a world that is getting hot as hell.
