In March we are showing the work of Gustavo Acosta, Carlos Estevez and Ted Larsen. A careful selection of paintings, drawings and sculptures shows the dissimilar points of views of these three artists.

Gustavo Acosta’s big canvases are showing a departure from his previous work. Although still interested in urban settings he is offering a new view of the city and its surroundings. In these works he ventures into a different treatment of light, resulting in images that look almost abstract.

Carlos Estevez is presenting a series of boxes, a project on which he has been working on for the past couple of years. These assemblages, although in a minor scale, compare to his installations, were the scenographic sense dominates. A juxtaposition of found and made objects ‘compiled’ into the boxes creates an alternate universe.

In the project room we will have the works of Ted Larsen. Ted had exhibited his work in the past at our gallery and in this opportunity we are exhibiting his new series of works. Although he is still using recycled materials we can perceive a different approach to materials, a monochromatic color scheme and more complex forms.

The exhibition will run from March 1 to April 5, and the opening reception will be March 8, during the Wynwood gallery walk. All the artists will be in attendance.
